Kate Harper is a busy, smart, ambitious and creative person. She has made a great art career for herself as a well-known greeting card designer, which makes her way savvy when it comes to the art licensing business. She is also a consummate blogger at Kate Harper's Blog for Artists and Writers. She describes it this way:
This blog is where I post information about the card business I find interesting. For over a decade I published my own line of cards and serviced over 2,000 accounts and then went into licensing where I now have over 200 product designs in Target, Walgreen's and Michael's, and independent stores.
Kate designated March as Social Media Month. Since social media is quickly growing in importance as a tool for art marketing and art licensing, it was a brilliant idea. To act on her idea, Kate invited a list of guest bloggers, including me, to contribute articles for her idea.
