It’s not going anywhere, so it’s up to us to figure out how to use it so we can better deal with it.

These AI systems provided research and raw copy in the roles of research and writing assistants. However, the essay’s voice and perspective are human, shaped by hours of reflection, testing with many prompts, ample original content, and rigorous editing and rewriting of AI-generated material.
